The YesPleaseMore Popup store in the Denver Pavilions (2nd flr next to nike town)!

And we really couldnt think of a more appropriate place for the remaining contributions all of our artists made. All of the money collected will still be going to our really wonderful charity organizations.

Designed to support the local creative economy, YesPleaseMore is a temporary retail space acting as a “mix and match” experience that combines events, shopping, co-working and performances to create a cultural mash-up, including: *Designed goods such as furniture, paper goods, clothing, jewelry, prints and art from more than 60 Denver-based creatives. Products are provided on consignment with 70% of sales directly benefiting local creatives. *Co-working space for the public including workspace and free WiFi to encourage experimentation, collaboration, entrepreneurship, innovation and community. *Workshops and seminars on creative entrepreneurship. *Starter Grant program that allows creative entrepreneurs to submit their creative ideas online and have the public vote on them. Winners will be given seed money to aid in the realization of their vision.

YesPleaseMore Pop-Up Store hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6:00 p.m. Sunday. The store will be open October 8 through February 2011. For more information, contact: hello@yespleasemore.com.

This event really couldn’t happen without the support of our sponsors. I know logo banks can get cumbersome, but they are really the ones who bring this event to the next level and make it a reality.

We want to thank everyone who has made this event possible, and please support them in the future!

Genghis Kern works it once again

September 30th, 2010 / No Comments »

How many of you remember last year’s awesome letterpressed commerative poster? Well if you dont, you are in luck because this year Genghis Kern has done an impressive job once again. (You have to come to the event tonite to see what I mean.) Here is a great video for you to see what I am talking about by Jesse Borrell:

Genghis Kern – A Letterpress And Design Shop from Jesse R. Borrell on Vimeo.

For those of you unaware of who i am referring to, Genghis Kern is a Denver-based letterpress and design shop that strives to keep the art of letterpress alive with a focus on creating a strong brand identity at the same time. They acknowledge the emotion attached to major events in a person’s life, that strategy makes a good brand, and that pride in one’s business is essential. They strive to instill those feelings into each piece.

They specialize in branding, packaging, custom business cards and stationery, wedding invitations, birth announcements – you name it and they can bring it to life. Grounded with over 15 years of graphic design experience, they’ll take your idea and make it a reality that you can cherish forever (or until your next great idea comes around).

You can also follow them on twitter @genghiskern.
