Wow. You all rock!
October 1st, 2010 / 1 Comment »
Thank you so much to everyone who came out last night to support AIGA Colorado’s Bordo Bello in its effort to raise money for our 3 very deserving charities, VSA arts of Colorado/Access Gallery, Youth Design Denver and the AIGA Colorado Robert Taylor Scholarship Fund.
Everyone had a wonderful time and we auctioned off a ton of boards to some really lucky people. You know its a good party when you can kill 3 kegs in a few hours!
Thank you to all the artists who help set the bar of incredible artwork, to all our vendors who served up last night, all our sponsors who made the event possible, to our volunteers to made the night go so smooth and to all of you for coming out and participating in the event.
The Bordo Bello team here at AIGA Colorado couldnt be more proud of our community.
So the first set of photos we have going is from our social media booth by 15 min. and in the upcoming week we will have photos posted from the event, a time lapse video, and so much more. So if you want to share your pics with us, feel free to send it in, or tag your images with “bordobello” on facebook and flickr.
Again, you all rock and we appreciate your awesomeness.

This event really couldn’t happen without the support of our sponsors. I know logo banks can get cumbersome, but they are really the ones who bring this event to the next level and make it a reality.
We want to thank everyone who has made this event possible, and please support them in the future!

How many of you remember last year’s awesome letterpressed commerative poster? Well if you dont, you are in luck because this year Genghis Kern has done an impressive job once again. (You have to come to the event tonite to see what I mean.) Here is a great video for you to see what I am talking about by Jesse Borrell:
Genghis Kern – A Letterpress And Design Shop from Jesse R. Borrell on Vimeo.
For those of you unaware of who i am referring to, Genghis Kern is a Denver-based letterpress and design shop that strives to keep the art of letterpress alive with a focus on creating a strong brand identity at the same time. They acknowledge the emotion attached to major events in a person’s life, that strategy makes a good brand, and that pride in one’s business is essential. They strive to instill those feelings into each piece.
They specialize in branding, packaging, custom business cards and stationery, wedding invitations, birth announcements – you name it and they can bring it to life. Grounded with over 15 years of graphic design experience, they’ll take your idea and make it a reality that you can cherish forever (or until your next great idea comes around).
You can also follow them on twitter @genghiskern.
