Who did all that crazy cool artwork all over the new Bordo Bello site you might ask? We have the answer… and boy it’s awesome!

This year our dynamic duo husband-wife team Hari Panicker and Deepti Nair collaborated to produce all the rad artwork you see on the site! Both Hari and Deepti enjoy working across a multitude of mediums. A little back story on Hari and Deepti and their travels from India to Denver:

“We moved from India to Denver approximately two years back, and since then have been involved in the Denver design scene with a lot of art charity events starting with participating in Bordo Bello in 2010. (We are truly honored and  proud to have been assigned and chosen to brand the Bordo Bello event this year, since this is where it all started for us!!). We have a very distinct style of illustration as individuals, but we love to collaborate on projects. We are definitely very Indian in our design sensibilities & influences, but adapt really well to contemporary and world design senses. Our biggest challenge was creating a huge 8ft x 12ft chalk art depicting a Tibetan temple painting – Vajrapani as a part of the Denver Chalk Art Festival 2011.”

Some of their passions include collecting vinyl toys/customizing toys (Hello Kidrobot -one of our returning sponsors this year), and they are currently working on a line of merchandise under the name thumbdemon which will have screen printed sketchbooks, t shirts and art prints among many other products. In the future they aspire to hold a show featuring the best of Denver with the best of India / Mumbai.

Check out their work here and here.
